My good buddies over at Sellsius Blog found the pissr post from yesterday to be quite helpful. I'm glad. You know me...always willing to lend a hand.....well, maybe not always. Thanks guys! Here's the evidence:
Want to waste some time? Check out Overplot, a mashup of Overheard in New York and Google Maps. There could be something fun in it, but you might have to get really drunk to find it. justiNYC is still working, so drunk he has yet to be today.
There's some really nice shots and info about Coney Island over at the Gowanus Lounge Blog. [Check out that blog- its nice and informative.] You may remember justiNYC's excursion in Coney Island last weekend- just wanted to let you guys know that I'm just now over the hell of that corndog. Below are some of my shots from that day...i'm testing a theory.
My buddies over at Sellsius Blog delivered a nice bundle of Craigslist video's, questions and answers today regarding Craig Newmark's finally getting around to charging real estate agents for listing on his site. First the videos, then the proposed pricing breakdown (via Sellsius Blog).
Based on feedback regarding the huge volume discounts offered by
other providers (up to 95% or more), we are now contemplating offering
discounted rates for pre-paid block purchases:
link to the ridiculously long, drawn out debate on this issue here in the Housing Forum Looks like it may be time to finally roll out the post that I drafted months ago when Craig decided all of a sudden to postpone the charge.
here are a few posts from Curbed regarding this circus act:
Brooklyn Record launched today- a new blog about old Brooklyn...uh, becoming new. justiNYC is a contributing blogger, even though he hasn't had as much time as he would have liked lately to post [here's one]. Nevertheless, some time seems to be freeing up in the ole schedule within the next week for a few action packed posts, so stay tuned. We'll have food and events and history and.....It looks like it could be great daily read! RSS it up!
What in the hell is happening to Brooklyn? Am I the only one concerned? (well, not today I'm not anyway....) Both Curbed and Brownstoner got a kick out of the Rubble pic from a couple of days back. The truth is, Brooklyn's waterfront is looking pretty similar to Boston's BIG DIG these days. Looks like swimming in the East River might be a bad idea again this summer. Damn...and my new swim trunks are on Fiyah too!
Today on Curbed, a bit of linkage to a random justiNYC flick of Shaefer Landing (that would be the luxury 26-story highrise south of the Williamsburg Bridge that looks like an aquarium) and a question of lights (ie. when will the yuppies begin to move in!)
Lights? We don't need no stinking lights! ( I mean, its not like any of us paint or do art or anything...)
Have fun with this! It looks to become a powerful tool for flushing out the rif-raf. [Beware B.S. pushers...there have been precautions taken against your kind!]
Various places in space with faces we chase
wasting time like lime wires and square tires flat-
look at where you're at-
now grab that.
