Are 28 new shiny towers planned for Williamsburg?

Well, according to OnNYTurf it is so. The developer Quadriad is trying to plop 28 brand spankin new towers in the middle of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Community Meeting anyone?  Anyone up for a good old fashioned protest?
