Google Notebook Adds Search and Real Estate agents Catch On

Today Lifehacker  tipped us off to a helpful new feature on Google Notebooks- you can now search the content of public notebooks.  Check out the content that comes up when you search for "Real Estate."  Google Notebooks are the perfect tool for compiling researched content or publishing content for the public.  Real Estate agents are becoming quite saavy in the podcasting arena and tools such as this have become a powerful way to broadcast.

The best browsers to use when blogging

The Pro probably should have probably mentioned this earlier, but if you're still puttering along out there using Internet Explorer, its a really good idea to switch to Mozilla Firefox.  Its fully customizable and open source, meaning software that is created by a development community rather than a single vendor. Firefox is typically programmed by volunteers from many organizations, the source code of open source software is free and available to anyone who would like to use it or modify it for their own purposes. This allows an individual or organization to add a feature itself rather than hope that the vendor of a proprietary product will implement its suggestion in a subsequent release. But for the time being:

Upgrade to Firefox 1.5!

You can import all of your bookmarks from other browsers and create a portable profile that will allow you to access your settings from other computers.  This allows you to surf the web (or better yet, blog it) just the way you do at home from other places like the office, internet cafe, etc. Be sure to check for plug-ins and customize your firefox browser to play online media the way you want it.

A terrific extension and tool that I found recently is Performancing.  It puts a little toggle switch at the bottom of your browser so that you can access your blog's dashboard in a snap. In the next post, I'll include a few of the terrific extensions that I find useful in real estate.
