Video Vigilantism and developers say 'Cheese!'
Well, it looks like some Brooklynites just aren't going to take high-rise invasion in their neighborhood lying down. According to City Limits, a group of neighborhood activists called the South Park Slope Community Group caught developer Isaac Katan by surprise last month when they caught his crews using illegal construction equipment at a site, even after hours. Get this: they were trying get the foundation down for an 11-story building and had to rush to beat the rezoning clock! Ooooh...rezoning- how we love thee!

Me thinks its a pretty darn good idea, actually. There should be more people out filming development projects in their hoods- especially those that look suspicious. It is not terribly hard to spot one- especially if you are of the real estate junkie mindset. Nevertheless, even the most ignorant to the ways of the crane should try to be aware of the fishy goings on of construction sites near their homes- especially those that shake and rattle one out of his/her own bed in the middle of the night. My advice: Get it on video. Send it to me. I'll vlog it for you.
FYI: Isaac Katan is one of the guys that bought the infamous Domino Sugar Factory. Whatever become of that should be sweet!

HELP!
We are activists in Central Florida. A guy named Seymour (Sy) Vogel is trying to "rape and scrape" 5,000 acres of wet, rural land for a mega-development.
Research reveals that he is connected somehow with Isaac Katan, but we don't know how.
I see that Isaac Katan is not exactly a model citizen.
Do you know who Sy Vogel is? Do you know how I could find out more about his dealing in NY?
