great read in L magazine about Fire in Brooklyn

Nope, fire is no stranger to Brooklyn. Remember the Greenpoint Terminal fires a couple of weeks ago? Sure you do. Check out the L Magazine's article on the history of fire in NYC. Even firebugs might learn something. For example, did you know that during the Great Conflagration of 1835, 675 buildings got torched? Guttman may be close those numbers, but in any case i think today's numbers say a lot for the NYPD. Give it a read.
